October 2007 - National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Monday, October 1st:

3:00 - 5:30 PM, Join us for the viewing of the Clothesline Project (provided by New Hope, Inc.).  Visit us on the grounds of the First Parish Church of Taunton, Church Green, across from the Taunton Police Station & City Hall.

5:45 - 7:00 PM, the annual Candle Light Vigil on the Taunton Green.

7:00 - 7:15 PM, We invite the faith-based community to ring their bells to honor those who have been impacted by domestic violence.

Voices Against Violence, Voices of Hope Taunton Cable Access Media program.  The first two episodes are currently playing on Taunton Community Access (Channel 15). Additional episodes will be available beginning October 2nd.   Click for details.  Voices of Hope can also be viewed on cable access channels in a number of surrounding communities.

 

Please break the silence and help us raise awareness.  The violence will not stop by itself.

 

 

  Community Health Network Area (CHNA) #24's Domestic Violence/Violence Prevention Committee Monthly Meeting (SEMA-VAV) is held on the 3rd Thursday of the month, 5:00-6:30 PM, First Parish Church of Taunton (across from Taunton City Hall), downstairs in the supper room.  Enter via side door across from the Old Colony Historical Society/Bethany House.  The entire community is welcome.
